This morning, Class 2 travelled to Kendal to listen to talk about Adventures in Science as part of the Kendal Mountain Festival. The presentation involved learning about how to survive in the Amazon rain forest. They learnt about what beetles were save to eat; where to do a number 2 in the forest to ensure camp hygiene was maintain; how to create drinking water from puddles and rivers; how to make a shelter and how to keep themselves save from dangerous animals.
They have come back to school very keen to practice this skills at home! So if you are out walking this weekend, be sure to keep an eye out for Class 2 practising their suvivial skills!
