Viking Feast

Class 2 wanted to learn more about Viking food so they spent the afternoon creating a Viking feast. They worked together to:


  1. mix dough for oatcakes
  2. collect herbs, chop them and make spinach soup (nettles apparently are too old now)
  3. roll out dough, add blueberries and honey for pasties


Then they made invitations using Viking art and runes so that Class 1 could come and share the food.


Just like Vikings they didn’t use spoons but drank the soup straight from the bowl!
