Today, the whole school had the pleasure of visiting Vindolanda and The Roman Army Museum. First of all, we explored some ancient ruins, including a reconstruction of a Hadrian's Wall fort! Afterwards, we were able to observe a live archaeological dig before witnessing some of the artefacts found during excavation in the museum, such as coins, pottery and Roman weapons.
In the afternoon, after a short drive, we attended a virtual Latin lesson, where we learned phrases such as scientia potentia est and unus duo tres. All in all, this was an enriching trip, which brought our Roman topic to life.
