Part-time Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs & Disabilities

(Fixed term contract)

Salary:         £25,183 per annum, pro rata (PCD5, SCP6) £13.05 per hour

Start date:   1^st September or as soon as possible thereafter.

Hours:         20 hours per week  - this post is term time only.

Contract:     Fixed term appointment related to the provision of special needs support in respect of the named pupil and will continue pending a review of the EHCP or the pupil’s departure from the school, if earlier.  Number of hours worked may be changed, dependent on the review of the EHCP together with the times of the day the hours are worked.

Job description:    This role is to support a pupil with an EHCP in the classroom and, if necessary, at playtimes.  We would want to appoint a flexible and dedicated professional with classroom experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities.  

You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support and will need to be able to plan, deliver and monitor work to meet the needs of their Educational Health and Care Plan, as well as adapting materials to support the pupil’s learning and development.
