Attendance

Attendance is a strength of the school and remained steady over the last three years at: 94.25% in 2020-2021,

and 97.81% from 01/09/22-27/01/23

It is important that you inform us as soon as possible if your child is going to be absent from school because of illness or a medical appointment. If we do not hear from you by 10am on the day of absence we will contact you for further information.

*Unfortunately since the change of regulations in September 2013, the school is unable to authorise absences in term-time apart from in very exceptional circumstances. If you need to request time off for your child then please inform the school in writing as soon as possible in advance of the requested dates.Cumbria County Council can choose to issue a fixed penalty notice if any unauthorised absences are accompanied by poor attendance and poor academic achievement.
