Asby Endowed School

Mask Wood

Over last 12 months members of the Asby Tree group alongside Dave Corrie have developed Mask Wood, owned by the Braithwaithe family, to create the most amazing outdoor classroom for the school and the local community to use.

Today was our first time visiting the site since the Spring when we planted trees. Today the children explored the site, looping branches, collecting fire wood and cooking drop pancakes and s’mores.

After lunch we were joined by members of the Asby Tree group and local community members to celebrate the classroom. We can’t wait to help develop the site further for our outdoor learning.

We would also like to say a massive thank to the Appleby Art Society for providing  grant for today's activities.
