The chicks have hatched!

There was great excitement in school today as the eggs began to hatch.  The children have been looking after the eggs in the incubator for the last 21 days, taking turns to turn the eggs daily and monitor the temperature.  All their patience has been rewarded today as the chicks hatched out of their shells.  

 

The children are experts at looking after the chicks, and are enjoying the noisy new additions to their classroom!  We shall look forward to observing their development as they grow.  Keep an eye out for future photos!
