Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school!
As part of the Bright Stars project the children had a Q&A with our local MP Neil Hudson. He spoke to the children an out what he does as an MP and the issues that are important to him.
Then the children were invited to ask him questions. Our children asked him why we need electric cars, how long he spends at Parliament and whether he always agrees with Boris Johnson.
We are hoping to invite him to visit the school so we can ask him more questions.
Class 1 had a wonderful afternoon today at Stainmore Railway Company. The volunteers, Rob, Mike and Sue, were fantastic.
The children had a great time learning about bridges and their construction. They then learnt about the job of a train guard and the importance of checking the carriage doors are shut before signalling the train to go! The final task was to learn about the job of a shunter. The children soon became experts at shunter signalling!
Finally, a great time was had looking at the Victorian and other vintage locomotives, carriages and wagons, as well as a look around the museum.
Today Class 1 released 6 butterflies that had emerged from their chrysalis over the Easter weekend.
