  • Harvest Art

    Wed 19 Oct 2022

The children enjoyed another art morning with Andi from NISCU. After learning about the parable of the farmer sewing seeds they created their own harvest pictures in the naive style. They used watercolours, sharpies and pastels to make pictures to thank God for the harvest. Whilst painting they thought about what Christian values (kindness, hard work etc.) they are growing inside themselves.

  • Langar Meal

    Wed 12 Oct 2022

The children had a great time this afternoon cooking their own ‘Langar Meal’.  In Sikhism, a langar is the community kitchen of a Gurdwara (a Sikh temple) which serves free vegetarian meals to all, every day.  People sit on the floor and eat together, and the kitchen is maintained and serviced by Sikh community volunteers.

  • Action Ants

    Mon 10 Oct 2022

The children in Class 1 have had a great afternoon at Shap today - making new friends and keeping fit!  They took part in a KS1 Junior Warrior Sports Festival with children from Shap and Crosby Ravensworth schools.  Activities included playing dodgeball, archery and crossbow, and the highlight of the afternoon was the Junior Warrior Slip and Slide, where the children were more than happy to get wet!
